Versa's firmware takes a long time to update

Just before I was about to go out, the fitbit app on my phone notified me of a firmware update for my Versa. OK, I thought, I'll update and then go out. Two hours later, the update was still only halfway done. I went out anyway with phone and watch. Two hours after that when I returned, the firmware was still updating. Is there a way to speed up firmware updating? Can it be done in smaller "batches" at a time?

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the firmware update is taking a long time to complete.

 

Please try the troubleshooting steps listed in this help article. After this, run the firmware update again and see if it gets completed.
