Hi
My heart rate monitor on my Versa can be all over the place. It will show my heart rte in the 80s when it is 130 to 150 or sow in the 150s when Im in the 120s. Also it is too slow to respond to do intervals accurately.
I am comparing this too a chess heart rate monitor and the machines at the gym(which are very close to my monitor)
Anyone else having these issue.
IS this is the norm for the heart rate monitor for a versa?

@toytech6466 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Versa's heart rate reading appear mismatched with other devices. Try cleaning the contacts including using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this restart your device and see how it behaves. Also follow these instructions to improve the heart rate reading.
Let me know how it goes!

HRM on versa is absolutely rubbish. If you don't exercise it's ok but as soon as you exercise it's useless. It's reporting 30/40% higher than my chest HRM and I've had it show 200 BPM whilst the chest HRM was recording 98! This morning on a 3 mile run chest hrm average 97bpm, Fibit - 158 bpm average. I previously graphed all the differences and sent them to Fitbit. All I got was the usually are you wearing correctly if not try ………. I'm not the only one that have had these problems but although Fitbit are fully aware nothing has been done. Another case of rushing something to market to maintain their sales performance for investors whilst users suffer from such a crap product.

So I read through all the post and tried the recommendation of the mediators. Tightened the strap, clean contacts, reset and the heart rate is still inaccurate.
It is so inaccurate that I can't use it to do intervals, it will take from 15 to about 45 seconds longer toshow my heart rate between 150 to 165 then my heart rate strap.
Also when i am doing my recovery and waiting for it to get to 125 to 135 it take upwards of 30 seconds longer to register.
This is a fitness watch and in that I think the heart rate monitor should be a lot more accurate. I do understand it will not be nearly as accurate as a heart rate strap but it is upward of 25% of a good amount of time when exercising!
For someone that bought this for a fitness watch first it is failing at one of its prime functions!

This did not work. Is there any other solutions. I am unable to trust my Versa when I am doing my cardio work outs.
I also tried tightening the strap when exercising too

In all honesty, I can state that I do not have that problem with my Versa at all. It always gives a correct reading. Reason for your problems, certainly with heavy duty use, is that the Sensor on the watch has become dirty. Clean it with a smooth cotton cloth, switch off your Versa by pressing the Left button and the Lower Right button and leave it off for a few minutes. After that restart your watch by pressing the Left button untill the fitbit logo appears. Hope this helps, kindest regards, kuzibri

Sorry you advice does not work, I've tried everything and whilst the versa is comparable to my chest monitor when I'm inactive as soon as do any exercise it is 30/40% over. I've even put the versa on my legs and still got exactly the same results, versa is much higher whilst doing any exercise. Personally I think the algorithm for blood flow is wrong and can't deal with my relative low HR, the max I hit on my bike whilst racing is mid 130's whereas most others are hitting 180+

I have tried everything like Mick has. When in normal use it read correctly! It is when I am doing my cardio work outs that it is reading incorrectly!!! This is one of the main reason I bought the Versa was so I could track my work out with out a phone!
If I can't get it to read correctly that it becomes a wast of money for me!!!
