Versa's heart rate not accurately reflected in the app

Hi guys!

I'm still pretty new to the forums. But I've noticed something and I don't know if I can do anything about it. I'm tracking my heart rate carefully for the doctors. This means when I noticed it being extremely high for low activity, I'm looking at my watch and making mental notes.

However my app data doesn't reflect it! For example, my heart rate skyrocketed to 184 last night for a few minutes. Today I looked at the data for the time frame and the max that had been noted is in the 130's. This isn't the first case of it not recording the max correctly.

Is there something else I can do? The data is indeed syncing but it doesn't seem to be accurate to what the watch says.

Hi @Tayusuki, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community.

Regarding the heart rate accuracy issue that your Fitbit Versa is experiencing, I was able to get in touch with our Support team and was told that they sent you an email requesting some information. Please reply to their email and they'll be happy to follow up and assist you accordingly.

I'll be around if any question arises.

Did you ever find out why this is happening ?

yestedya I had a display on my watch of 140 from only going upstairs but it didn’t record it at all when I checked my pulse as the watch displayed 140 my pulse was only 80

So I don’t know if you mean in the app it showed 80. And if so i also don’t know if you’re seeing 80 on the graph or on your home dashboard.

if you see 80 on the graph I realized it only records your heart rate in 5 minute increments. It’s still this way I think. This means it’ll be unlikely to catch brief and sudden spikes.

The watch displayed 140

graph registered somewhere in the 80’s

manually checking my pulse on my neck it was 80 whilst the watch displayed 140

the watch displayed 140 for around 20-30 seconds before suddenly changing (didn’t gradually come down) just suddenly flashed at 82 from140

so like you data is syncing but it’s not what my watch is saying, I did read about the 5 minute average thing but did you find the watch was showing your exact heart rate in that moment so if your watch was saying 184 was your pulse actually 184 ?

There’s a brief delay in the watch recognizing the correct pulse. Less than 5 seconds. I learned this very well when I had a bad reaction to a medication and my pulse went from ~80 to ~130 in a matter of seconds repeatedly.
