Versa's screen became black and won't turn on

2 days ago my bottom right button function would not stop going off. I would exit it the the clock face and a few seconds later it would show back up. Also had my quick settings and notifications drop down when it was unprompted to do so. I then went into the setting and shut it down and turned it back on, did this 2 or 3 times. I believe it was about 50% charge which lasts usually a day or two. In the morning it was dead so last night I charged it. The screen has been black since, I know it's on because the green pulse light comes on, my alarms went off this morning which I couldn't turn off with the buttons, and it is still syncing with my phone. I have tried to reset the device by holding all 3 buttons for 30 seconds at a time and then the green pulse light comes back on after about 30 seconds. The screen stays off.

Hi @Spyd3r22, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I would like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the display turns on properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

No need to apologize I understand and anticipated a delay. I will try to change the face when I get home but later in the day it had stop syncing with my phone as well. So I am not sure if it turns on at this point or not as it's not connecting to my phone and nothing happens on the screen.

I woke up this morning to a black screen. My alarm did not go off. I attempted to restart my Versa but it would not get past the Fitbit logo. After reading your suggestion, I put the Versa in my charger and changed the clock face. All was good until it went black again 7 hours later. I put it back in the charger. After 15-30 seconds the Fitbit logo appeared and after another 15-30 seconds it said that it was charging at 98% (it was at 63% the last time I checked before it went black). Again, everything seemed to be fixed but it went black again less than an hour later. Putting it in the charger had the same result as the previous time.

My phone can not sync with the device to change the clock face. When I first put it on the charger i could see some sort of back light turn on. So i tried to sync it then and change the clock face. It would not do either, I tried to restart it holding all the buttons down for 20 to 30 seconds and it would not respond to that. When I put it back on the charger the screen no longer turns on the back light.

I had my VERSA on the charger.  When I put it on my wrist after having it 100% charged I saw that the date and time were wrong.  When I tried syncing the VERSA the icon just kept turning around.  I checked things on the site and so I tried to reset it by pushing the two buttons.  It turned the VERSA off but then it won't come back on.  Next I read to try and remove it from my account and reinstall.  Because it is a black screen and not responding, the app can't find my VERSA.  I went to chat and she said that it showed I did sync it 1 day and 9 hours ago. When she asked a few other questions I open another screen to see what she was talking about and I got dropped from Chat.  Now chat doesn't respond. When I plus the charger into my computer nothing happens.  Could the charger now be bad?
