Versa's screen turning on and off by itself

Please help. My versa 2 fell in the water and after this the screen turns on and off by it self. It keeps on switching between screens and the side buttons does not work. The watch is less than a year old.

Hi @Elzanne , first of all: do you have a Versa or a Versa 2? The Versa 2 is just released so you cannot have it almost for a year. Regarding your problem: Did you dry your Versa thoroughly after it fell into the water, including the band? If not, put it in a bowl of dry rice and leave it there for 24 hours and see if the problem is solved. If not, call Customer Support. Do not think that this problem will be covered by warranty as it's your fault and not the result of swimming. Regards kuzibri

@Elzanne welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen turns on and off randomly.

In addition to the rice workaround that shared @SunsetRunner, please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face. After this, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀
