Hi! I have a fitbit Versa (bought 18months ago) and I used it everyday until last week. First the buttons did not work anymore, than I charged it, it went dark and wont turn on anymore. I have tried to reset/turnon and it is synct with my phone (I have not changed the interface of my clock). I really hope anybody can help with this since unfortunately I cannot find my receipt anywhere... Thanks in advance!

@JennekeH, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't turn on even though you have restarted it before contacting our forums.
Please let me know if your Versa vibrates when you put it on the charger.
In the meantime, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi, thanks for your response. I have a fitbit clock already. The fitbit doesnt vibrate when I charge it (I tried multiple times to charge). I just synct the fitbit with my phone and the app says it is synct and full battery but when I try to turn fitbit on, nothing works...
Please help! Thank you!
Unfortunately I am still waiting for a response...?
Hi JuanJo, last week I posted a question here regarding my Fitbit which was not working anymore. I tried your suggestions but nothing worked. It seems like the screen is just black/dark.
Could you please reply to me asap? Thank you in advance, Jenneke

I have this exact same problem, which I am guessing is connected to the firmware update. no issues for the past year. Shut down my Versa as I always do at night. It had been recharged fully a day ago. This morning just a dark screen. As with the original poster, it does not vibrate when on charger and the phone app says it is 84% charged but cannot talk to the Versa.

I have the same problem. I've had my watch for 11 months, no previous problems. I haven't done any updates or changes recently. I woke up to a black screen and after 5 hours of charging, I only got it up to 17%. I hope they find a solution!

I just did a restart, and that worked.

OK, scratch that. So: the last two days when I get up and turn on my Versa (after shutting it down at night), it is dark and doesn't respond until I restart by holding down the left button and bottom right button together. The first time this worked, my Versa came back on at the same level of charge as when I shut it down.
This morning, it was again dark, did a restart, and this time the battery level had gone from 84% the night before to zero, while turned off overnight.
I feel that this simply MUST be a firmware update issue, as the timing for so many people with the same basic set of issues is unlikely to be coincidental -- which I suspect the FitBit team realise at this point, and are trying to do a fix.
So I assume we will have to hold fast until there is a firmware fix and fiddle around with restarts. I am wondering in the meantime if the problem is that Versas are not fully updating with the new firmware, snd get stuck somewhere in mid-process, and thus shut down and use up the battery because there are processes going on in the background draining the battery and confusing the OS.
PS I am a tech journalist, for what it is worth -- have covered the industry for over 20 years for international publications. I've a suggestion for management: perhaps it is not a good idea to roll out a global firmware update to consumers just weeks before a major holiday period when many people are likely to end up with a confusing, dreadful initial experience with their Fitbit.
