Versa's screen went white

My screen on a Versa 2 has turned white and was very hot in the charger. I have attempted a restart and also changed the clockface from the app. It is currently on the charger, but the screen is still white.

 

I have only had the device since January. I hope there a is a resolution besides buying a new device.
