Versa's screen won't turn back on

I haven't used my fitbit for a couple of months but I put it back on charge this afternoon, ready to start using again and the Fitbit logo was still showing on the screen. I took it off charge, to which it then wanted my 4 digit pin. I entered the pin but nothing happened, it had frozen. I left it a minute or so and pressed the lock button. The screen then very slowly changed to the normal clock screen. With that the fitbit logo came back on and nothing would happen again.

I left it for a couple of minutes in the charging cradle and then decided to try and hard reset it. Now I have a black screen, nothing happening at all. It is in the charging cradle again but still  nothing is happening.

Sorry for the long post but I want to give as much detail as possible.

Same issue here. Mine died after the update. I tried the restart thing numerous times with no luck. It just went out our warranty a couple of months ago but it was not my fault fitbit released an update that crashed the tracker....any option / response from fitbit for those outside the warranty period given it was not an sure problem?
