Versa's screen won't turn on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa screen suddenly went blank today at 70% charge. It’s still syncing and recording steps, and vibrating when a text comes through, but I can’t see anything. The backlight will occasionally light up as well.

Ive tried the button resets all day but don’t get the logo, just it the backlight showing a blank screen.

Help 😞

Hi @Allison_B, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I would like you to try a factory reset in order to fix this issue. To do so on your device, try the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. After this, set up your watch from scratch and see if the screen works properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

having this problem too. It seemed to happen shortly after I updated the app on my phone. I’ve reset it several times but still a blank screen. It also seems to be misreading my heart rate starting today (black screen started yesterday).

My versa went black today to with the exception of what looks almost like a barcode of colors. Fyi definitely not a barcode just looks like line smudges across the screen. Tried to reset a bunch of times with no luck.

Well just an update on my Versa....it has now shut itself off and will not turn back on.  It shows on my app but the watch is gone.
