My Versa Lite was running fine until last week when I noticed it was no longer keeping time.

I have done all the troubleshooting steps, including deleting and reinstalling software, clearing caches, and even did a factory reset on my Android phone thinking it was a software issue.

The device was no longer discoverable by Bluetooth on ANY device I tried to pair it to (and yes, only one Bluetooth app was running at the time.

Fitbit.com said to do a factory reset of the device and I now get only the same message as everyone else. I had a moment of hope with the forced restart, but after the logo the same message appeared.

Am now on hold with customer service hoping something will work.

This is what I did to fix the same problem.

1.- connect your Fitbit smartwatch into a computer with the charger cradle, wait the pc search for undates for the device. ( the pc will no find updates for you smartwatch)  do no disconnect from the pc.

2.- Turn OFF the bluetooth on your phone and turn ON again.

3.- Open your Fitbit app in your phone.

4.- Go to ADD new device in the app.

5.- when the app find your versa lite smartwatch add it, immediately you will see is and update available,  do the update.

6.- You will see your smartwatch is making an update , wait until finish and touch see your smartwatch is back working normal.

That's  what I did 3 times and my Fitbit work great, I hope you can do it in only 1 time.but keep trying.

 Good luck

Thanks so much! I've only tried that once, so I'll try another 2 times and hope for the best!

I was looking at all the other responses on how to get this message off and nothing works.  It happened when I was trying to download the update.  I tried changing the Wifi, Bluetooth and nothing works.  I have it charging in case the battery was low but that is wishful thinking.  Happened about 2 hours ago.

1.- Connect your Fitbit smartwatch in to a computer at the charger cradle  and leave connected.

2.- Turn OFF the bluetooth in your phone then turn ON again.

3.- Open Fitbit  App in your phone, add new device ( the phone will show you have one already) click that you want setup as new.

4.- When your phone find your Fitbit smartwatch  will show is an update available,  do the update.Yoy will see on smartwatch screen  is making an update, just wait until finish and the smartwatch screen turn into normal screen.

NOTE. Do not disconnect your Fitbit smartwatch until the undate has finished,  I'd so not work try as many times as possible  until your smartwatch come back like new.

 Good luck

I got mine reset. First I cleared the cache in the Fitbit app on my phone
then deleted it.
I then did a restart on my watch, then reinstalled the Fitbit app onto my
phone.
And re synced the watch with my phone.
It worked

Did all that, too. Mine failed every time. Even looked like it was back to
normal once, but failed to connect to any Bluetooth device. Replacement is
on the way to me.

I have the same error message and have tried every instructions and tips mentioned above but it does not fully work. My app stopped at step 2 updating like screenshot below. I tried many times but it still stopped at updating. Does anyone has the same problem?

I made sure that I kept the watch on charger. Kept checking and keeping my
phone going. It did take at least an hour on wifi

Thank you for reply. I kept charger on, it took almost 7 hours to go to nearly 100% but it just stopped there several times 😔

Mine took an hour. First I deleted cache from the Fitbit app on my phone,
then deleted the app then reinstalled the app. I then did a restart on my
watch, when the Fitbit logo came up on my watch, I then went back into my
phone and added a new device, make sure your Fitbit is paired with your
phone. I did have to try a few times before my phone and watch recognized
each other. It did work eventually. Had to reset all my functions just like
setting up a new watch.

I was able to do the update but the Fitbit is not connecting to my Bluetooth and says No Internet Connection.   I am connected to my home wifi and tried to restart my phone and reconnect and nothing.

I tried those but it still does not work. Now I am trying to update from fitbit app on my laptop, it has taken 2 hours already and got 27%! If it does not work either, I will take break for few days and try again later.

I had the same trouble, I think the time of the day affects it, try when
traffic is lighter on wifi. Either late mid morning or mid afternoon. Night
time and first thing in the morning not so good. Turn of wifi on your phone
and then on again and make sure your watch and phone are paired and watch
is showing connected on your phone. Might have to do it a couple of times.
Don't give up 😭

Thank you. My phone doesn't sync with my watch so I cant get the 'data not
cleared. Sync and try agaon' away. Suuuuuuper annoying since the versa is
so expensive.

Thanks, I tried it multiple times throughout the day and still does not connect to the wifi or bluetooth.  So frustrating,  just want to throw it out a window.
