Versa screen and heart rate tracking issues

My Fitbit heart rate monitor began malfunctioning, soon after the screen was glitching and going through applications and doing other wonky things on its own after installing the Fitbit firmware,  I had not updated my Apple phone to the iOS 13.5 when these issues began.  I completed all the troubleshooting steps I was given to no avail.   The support team told me that Apple is the problem and not the Fitbit software which doesn’t seem to be the case with my experience.  The support team offered me a discount for a new device however, the device I would buy would have the exact same issues as my current one, so I’m not sure why that’s their go-to option.  It’s not in my budget to spend more money on a device, that will have the same issues  , and even if I did, the discount expires in a month. I don’t want a new device I just want my old one to work again. After Fitbit bricked it, I don’t feel like I should give them more money, my device was working perfectly prior to their update. I asked if they were going to be correcting the software to resolve the problem with my current device they said they will work on it but there’s no guarantee however the discount they offered expires in a month. I am very disappointed in their nonchalant response and unrealistic expectations that everyone will just buy another device with the same issues and move on.
