Versa screen fades out

My screen on the watch stopped working today. Whenever I try to wake up the screen it only appears on the top and then slowly fades out. This issue just started today. It’s still syncing to my phone and updating the steps, but the screen won’t work. I’ve only every gotten it wet once over a month ago in the shower. Anyone else have this issue and how to fix it? I just charged it Wednesday night.

Have you tried drying it out with white rice? It will get any moisture out that may be affecting the watch.

A warm welcome to the Community @Missmelis92 and @DramaQueenDiva thanks for stopping by.

I would like to know if you have tried to restart your watch? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know the outcome. Man Happy

I have the same issue. Factory reset will not work...what should I do now? Screen fades to different colors or only half a screen will show. I have the versa and never get it wet. Very disappointing..

This has started to happen to my Versa. Half the screen comes on then slowly fades out. I have completed a factory reset (hold down all 3 buttons, release bottom right when Fitbit icon comes on, continue to hold remaining 2 buttons down until vibrate then let them go). No change. Like previous poster, can sync with phone. Next steps?

I contacted fitbit and the computer in the versa was corrupted.  She walked me through the process and i sent her pictures of the watch and it was verified that it was damaged. I received a new watch in 5 days. Excellent service

It has been a while but I contacted customer service. They helped me determine that it was the device and sent me a replacement in about a week. They were very helpful... I didn't have any problems.

I have the same concern! My first Versa lasted less than a year and it went out so Fitbit sent me a replacement. This one didn't even make it a year and the screen went out. I call the customer service number and was told I was out of warranty. I was offered 25% off a future purchase. Very disappointing. I'm not sure if it's worth spending the money on another Fitbit since I don't want it to happen a third time. I got the feeling talking to the customer rep that Fitbit doesn't care about its customers.

The same happened to my Versa. The screen was showing on and then slowly fading out. I could use any of the buttons or tap to see the setting or any other app on the watch. I have completed a factory reset many times. Nothing worked. A few days later, it stopped working altogether. Contacted customer service by live chat and they said because my watch is not covered by warranty any more, there is nothing they can do. They offered 35% to buy a new watch, which I'm not doing. I can't trust my money on them anymore. Not worth it the investment!
