Versa screen has gone gray with glowing spot in the middle

Today during a run my Versa screen stopped responding. The last thing I saw was an update on zone minutes.  Now it looks gray with a round-cornered lighter area in the middle that fades in after waking. Battery is charged, so that’s not the issue. Is it toast?

Hi there @Ms_Spock, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa's screen went gray during your exercise, I understand where your concern is coming from. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Check in the Fitbit app if your Versa is still syncing, if so, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.
  2. If the above step doesn't work, please restart your watch by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Just know you are not alone with your issue......mine behaved very much as yours and I was able to contact support and they were quite helpful.  Support will likely guide you through a series of troubleshooting techniques then deem it replaceable if still under warranty.
