Versa screen has vertical lines and then it turns off

My Fitbit just randomly stopped working. Initially there was a long vertical line along the keft side of the screen and the screen was dim. I've charged it thinking it mught be an issue with the battery, however, that has not helped. Today the vertical line is still there and an image of a low battery with a pink lined exclamation mark is on the screen. The charger works fine as my daughter charged her Versa 2 with it. When I put mine on the charger the battery image and the vertical line shows up for five seconds and then the screen goes black. What might be the issue?

Hi @CarmenDG, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Versa 2 has vertical lines and then it goes black. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

If you haven't done so, please restart your Versa 2 as described in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if the display works properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hello Juan, Thank you for getting back to me. We have a few issues with
your suggestion. The instructions say to use the back button to turn off
the fitbit. There is no back button on this device as demonstrated by the
picture. When we press and hold the only power button on the device, we get
the image mentioned in the post on the community site. We've only had this
since July. There should be no reason it doesn't work.

What would be the next solution to this?
