Versa screen intermittent - black, fading and flickering

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just started happening today, the screen was black apart from a line of pixels at the top.

Did  reset and then there was a very bright part of the display in the centre in a square shape.

Reset again and looks ok for a minute but then when using it starts getting green pixels getting brighter over large patches then when swiping screens some of the old screen stays and it get all jumbled up.

Generally the screen is flickering now when i switch between screens.

Is this unit on the way to fully being broken?

THE SAME EXACT THING IS HAPPENING TO MY WATCH TOO! Fitbit Versa bought on 05/26/2018. And now I'm two months past the 1 year warranty expiration :'(

I'm guessing it's a display driver dying and therefore needing to be replaced. I've performed a soft and hard reset to no avail. Check out the picture I took during the factory reset. You can see the pixel display is pretty scrambled.

This is a loss in my book and not worth paying for to replace so I'm moving on to greener pastures, but curious to know if the support team knows what causes this. I hope your watch is still under its warranty and you are able to send it in to get fixed!

Whoops! I forgot to post the image... but now that I'm trying to, I can't. I get a useless pop up window when I click on the Camera Icon that has options like "source", "Image Description", and "Dimensions". Tried on Windows and Chrome, Mac and Chrome, and Mac on Safari. Might be a setting somewhere but this should be a universal website feature. So... definitely moving on from this one.

I’m having a similar problem but not exactly as you described here. It started yesterday. I am not even able to access the settings to force quit the device.
