Versa screen is blank but watch is still recording information.

My versa screen went blank and trying to troubleshoot the issue.   I've done the 2 and 3 button resets multiple times without luck.  I've completely drained the battery and fully charged it before wearing hoping that might trigger something.  I've changed watch faces and settings from the app but nothing has happened.  Is there a way to force the new OS update?   Everything is still tracking in the app .   Any help or suggestions are appreciated

@Tbayjay I need to point something out. You mentioned you performed the 3-button factory reset. Factory reset wipes all data. The tracker would not sync afterwards as it needs to be set up again. Ergo, the factory reset was not completed. Did you feel a strong vibration?

  1. Press and hold all 3 buttons
  2. After Fitbit logo disappears, release the bottom right button
  3. Wait until you feel strong vibration and release the other buttons.

You may need to attempt the reset a few times to find the optimal times. Trying holding the buttons longer, as long as it's needed for the vibration to appear.

Thanks for the reply.   I don't get a vibration or the logo when I do the 3 button reset.  I've tried multiple times holding all three for varying lengths from 10 seconds to over 1 minute.   I'll try even longer than 1 minute.  I only get the vibration when I hold the left and bottom right buttons for 10 seconds.

@Tbayjay the left and bottom right buttons are for regular reset. If you do not get the strong vibration with 3-button procedure, it means the factory reset wasn't successful. The problem is that you cannot see Fitbit logo flashing as there is an issue with the display.

  1. Hold all 3 buttons for about 15 seconds.
  2. Release the Bottom Right button, then keep holding the Left and Top Right button until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated. This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the static logo will appear and the device will boot the image on the factory slot (Says go to Fitbit.com/setup).

I had a poster here who was attempting 3-button procedure for several hours...Finally, it kicked in. If you're not successful, I am afraid you will have to contact Customer Support to guide you through the next steps.

Hi, I'm still trying to get the Versa to reset and the display still doesn't work.   I've already spoken to Fitbit support but they were unable to help.  My Versa is only 1 month old but it was purchased on ebay, not from an authorized seller so I cannot make a warranty claim.  Since I can't return under warranty, it's important that I can solve this issue.

Hello @Tbayjay, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have come back and let us know you have already contacted our Support Team. Please note that as our team indicated, eBay is not an authorized retailer, which means your Versa is not covered by our Warranty. At this moment, my best recommendation is to contact eBay directly and work with them.

I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences this situation has caused you, have a great day.

I have been updating the firmware for my versa lite for a week now. I have even seen the green tick which should mean update is complete?

But on my phone I am still seeing firmware update is available. The watch always show the fitbit logo blinking. From white then to blue then off again.

Steps are recorded and can be seen from phone but watch screen only show fitbit logo.

Any idea how to solve this?

If it's only been a month, you can still make a claim on eBay and probably get your money back. But do it quick!
