I purchase my wife a new Versa, to replace her lost Charge 2. It lasted about two weeks, until the screen fell off the body of the watch.
She was not doing anything energetic, just standing in a queue, when the screen separated.
Now about a month later, it has happened again. No strenuous activity just getting out of the car with handbags etc. Screen just fell off the body of the watch.
The first incident we just put down to bad luck and we were able to get it replaced by the Retail Seller (who said they had never heard the like before). But to have it again within a month with nothing that my wiffe was doing to explain why the Versa would fall apart. It wasn’t bumped, hit or otherwise rough handling.
This quality issue is a major concern and she is worried about wearing it least it should happen again and she doesn’t notice until way to late.
Apart from the unexplained trend for the Versa to fall apart on her, my wife was very happy with it, its features, battery life and all.
Would anyone else have experienced something like this

I’ve had my Fitbit Versa almost two years and the screen just separated. I’m bewildered over why that would happen as well. Looks like I will have to call customer service. Each time that I have to replace my Fitbit I wonder if it’s time to try Apple.
move loved my Fitbit, though, and I’m accustomed to it.

I am sorry but think that you will find that the Customer Support will provide no help based upon mine and others experience.
I wish you good luck, but fear that you will be disappointed.
Cheers

I bought a Charge 4 last year and my wife’s last Versa replacement under Australian Consumer law was a Charge 3.
she is happy with her charge 3 and it must be around 2 years old now. Neither of us have had a problem with it.
Cheers

If you get the Versa 3, please let us know how you go with it.
A lot of people including my wife loved the Versa and IF they have FINALLY fixed it then they will be very interested.
cheers

Had my Versa for just over two years and the screen came away from the body last week whilst I was swimming. I have had several Fitbits in the past, each time I have upgraded to try and fix the various issues that they have had. This one lasted the longest, but I will no longer be buying replacements from Fitbit, and will look at Garmin or Apple - which Are both reported to be reliable.

I had the same problem TWICE!
My wife and I bought the original Fitbit versa's when they first came out. Thus being a fan, we bought the second one once it came out. A couple of months after we got our Versa 2's the screens from both of our Fitbit popped out. We took advantage of the warranty and sent them off to get replacements, no more than 2months later my wife's Versa 2's screen has already popped out, and I'm getting nervous about mine. I'm now looking into new fitness bands to use and considering if I'm still willing to remain within the Fitbit family.

All I can say is that as the originator of this topic, after my wife’s last time of the screen coming off, she switched to the Charge 3 and has not had an issue. I had a Charge 2 for many years and upgraded to the Charge 4 earlier this year and again no issues.
I am not sure that either of us wants to invest over AUD 500 for a watch that has lots of features that we will never use.
Cheers

Update: While totally off topic, well kind of, I thought that I would post an update on my wife’s Charge 3. Back in June last year I report that after many Versa screens falling off, that she opted for the retailer replacing the Versa with a Charge 3, which she was happy with.
Well last week, what happen? My wife while visiting her mother in hospital, it happened again, the Charge 3 screen came off. She didn’t notice it until the next day, so exactly where it fell off is a mystery to us.
I looked at the chassis, and I can see plenty of evidence of there being glue on two side, some on another, but almost none on the 4th side.
So in short its not just a Versa issue after all

The same story for me, I have had mine for a little over 2 years and the screen separated from the body. Before this purchase I had one, a Charge I think, that kept breaking (every 6 months). Fitbit replaced it twice before giving me a discount on the Versa 2 I now own, I see their policies have changed a lot since then, and, thus, I no longer expect help like they once provided. I am also noticing that they are not responding to anyone in this forum, that is a shame. So, now I am also considering an Apple watch. More money perhaps but if it works for longer, I imagine it will be a savings in the end. And, I too am very accustomed to my Fitbit. So I am turning in circles wondering what I can do. I wish the products lasted longer and that Fitbit would help its customers better.
