Versa screen went blank

My versa screen stopped working on Friday. I thought it was just dead so I put it on the charger. The screen however is still not working, but it's still syncing data to my phone and my phone says that its charged and it still vibrates with messages and whatever. The screen is just always solid black I tried changing it again and when I put it on the charger the screen had black and gray lines across it. I tried holding the button to rest it but it didn't do anything.

May 2019 I bought a Versa for my husband and myself. Sept 2019, my Versa wasn't working properly and I received a replacement. April 2020, I ordered new straps because ours wore out. June 2020 (1 year and 1 month after initial purchase, and warranty had expired), my husband's Versa screen goes black. I call Fitbit, and go through all the trouble shooting, but still nothing!  He is offered 25% off from Fitbit. We decided to buy him another one as a Father's Day present because he really liked his Versa. 2 days after the purchase, my Versa screen goes black!! I went through all the trouble shooting again with no success. 2 Versas...2 Black screens.

We will be returning our new purchase. Too much money for an unreliable product.

Same problem here, screen went black last night, just a dull black glow when I raised to see the time.

I've tried restarting many times, and have at least got it to start syncing again (was not even coming back on at one point). I've tried changing the clock face a couple of times, and switching auto Quick View off etc, nothing has worked.

Anything else I can try?

Not that I know of. The Fitbit support suggested everything you tried, and
then told me that there was nothing else they could do. I did read holding
all 3 buttons for a minute might start it back up, but that didn't work for
me.
Very disappointed and frustrated since it is a big purchase.
Good luck!

*update*
I contacted customer support or after troubleshooting on my own and they were extremely helpful. Fortunately my Fitbit was still under warranty and they shipped me a new Fitbit the very same day.

I started having a similar issue yesterday morning with my Versa 2. But the screen turns white and fuzzy when I wake it up and will come back on eventually. It did it first in the middle of my treadmill run, woke it up and nothing. So I reset it, charged it, all the troubleshooting steps and it did it to me again this morning. Also my battery is draining faster than normal. This is my second Versa and the second one to fritz out with the screen. I just bought this one in December but this is kind of ridiculous. I guess I need to run the circles with support, again about this one. Really disappointed this is still an issue over a year after my first Versa purchase.

Hey,

Thanks for your response, I tried your suggestion of changing to an official Fitbit clock face before leaving my original comment as I knew it will be something that ill get asked to do as well as restarting the Fitbit which yielded the same blank screen result. I don't know if the battery drain is also something that is happening to everyone but in my case, the battery was getting depleted within a day if I am lucky as opposed to the usual 3+ days which meant my sleep data for some nights weren't being captured as I would be wearing a watch with no battery left in some cases.

After speaking to support over chat I was issued a replacement so if anyone experiencing this is within warranty then maybe it is an avenue to get you tracking your activities again.

Hope that helps.

@nabettie  Totally agree with you. As I do relay on this watch for my fitness goal. I'm forcing my self getting more steps as I have to lose 40LBS if not I will be diagnosed with few health issues 😞 Would you mind to tag me if you find any other watch? I had balz that not working, now versa... I'm very disappoint on this.
