Versa screen won't turn on after a factory reset

My Versa started to not sync, then was not keeping the correct time. I tried resetting it using the two button way. No luck. After 3 days of trying, I did a factory reset. Now the versa will not turn back on. I also tried to hold down all the buttons for over 3 minutes several times. No luck, the screen never shows the Fitbit logo. It stays black.

Hi there, @JKC18. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

It seems like the Factory Reset might have drained your Versa's battery. With that said, please try the following steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your watch using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

If you manage to turn on your watch's screen, please follow the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Versa as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa.

If you can't get started with your Versa, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

The screen won't turn on at all, even after it has been fully charged (with a wall charger that turns off after power is no longer being drawn from it).

@JKC18  A factory reset is risky because it sometimes does not come back.

Have a look at the suggestion posted here

It may help you find the true state of your watch.

If it is dead and you still have warranty get it replaced
