Versa screen won't turn on

My Versa 1 screen is not displaying. I have tried to reset,  leave to discharge and then recharge. Green light is lighting on the back. It is connecting to my phone. Any suggestions please 🙏

My watch face stopped working today. I have tried to reset it and I think it reset but I can’t tell because there is no display. Additionally I cannot do a reset to factory reset because again I can’t see the screen so I can’t time it properly (when the logo appears and let go of the bottom right button etc because I can’t see when or if the logo displays). Yesterday the screen would not register touch so I couldn’t scroll etc. this last weekend it was having other random display issues and I did a restart but no factory reset. The watch still syncs with the app and is registering data (heart rate, steps, activity, everything). It’s just the display on the watch not working. What else can I do?

After hearing from Fitbit Support, they stated my watch is out of the warranty period and there's nothing they can do.  The only thing they could offer is a discount if I wanted to buy a new device...  But why would I buy a new device, spending another couple hundred dollars, if the devices don't work properly?? These Smart Watches are very expensive and I made an investment. Now I just feel burned by Fitbit.

 

I am extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with the outcome... Especially after seeing how many others are recently having this issue/how common it is.  😔😭😔😭

The Support Team did nothing but tell me to buy another one.  They did NOT ask for specifics, pictures, or any additional information about the problem.  I don't want a new watch.  I want help to fix the problem (that so many are also having).... or at least an explanation.  

 

If Fitbit is 'constantly working on improving their devices and user experiences,' then this is the perfect opportunity to step up and make this right.  I absolutely loved my Versa (and Fitbit) until this problem.  I would like to remain a loyal customer but I am not getting the sense that Fitbit cares about anything but their bottom line.  

 

@LiliyaFitbit @Fitbit  Please make this right so I can continue to be a loyal customer.

I changed it according to the app but I still have no display on my watch...yesterday it wouldn’t sync, today it will. Yet I still have a completely dark screen. I hit buttons and I still get this...

I got the same issue today. I have the first versa.

 

I've tried changing clock faces, using Fitbit made clock faces, still getting a black screen that tries to light up.

 

I have the exact same problem with my versa 1.

I agree. I had mine for 26 months. I don't feel the need to replace it.  Will just go back to the old watch.  I wonder if it has a time limit to expiry to buy an update version.

I am having a similar issue with my versa. I have followed all the suggestions on this board including the ones about pressing the buttons for several minutes all different combinations including all three for a hard factory reset. No green light shows on the back anymore and it never lights up the screen. The fit bit logo never comes on. I have tried charging it with two different charging bases in four different outlets. Nothing happens. Please help me fix this problem.

Hi! I have the same problem black screen, wont turn on, tried charging . It is still registering steps , sleep etc on my app . What do I do now ?

I'm having the same issue as described.  I can't get the Fitbit logo to show up no matter how many buttons I push.  Still syncing to my phone.  Tried changing the clock face too.  No luck.  Help!

Sounds like it is finished. All Fitbit have offered me is a discount off a new one.

Hi, I am having same issues too. I am one month out of my warranty period and there doesn't seem to be a service center here in Singapore. This is so disappointing.

 

I have a versa lite and one day the device just didn't show any display.. but it was still syncing with my phone. Tried holding the only button for 10s and nothing is showing. Sometimes the screen lights up but the screen is greyed out. Then it will be black screen again. It's fully charged.

 

I can't believe this died one year into use.seems like so many people are having similar issues. It was working one minute and wasn't the next. Disappointing.really disappointing

 

Can anyone help.no service center is horrible

I don't have this problem with my versa 2 but it happened with my charge 2. The vibrations were the same the screen just wasn't working. I ended up getting a versa 2 after because they couldn't fix it. It might not be the same thing causing it but I recommend doing the live chat because it was much easier for me to get information that was just to my problem in particular.
