Versa screen won't work or factory reset

I've tried numerous times to do the factory reset on this versa and it never erased the watch.  I'm trying to reset it to see if it will fix the touch screen not working 70% of the time.  It's very fustrsting having this expensive watch that doesn't work half the time and to boot I can't reset at all.  Does anyone else have this issue?

I just tried the factory reset because my screen won't respond. The screen is showing the message "Data not cleared. Sync and try again." with a big X to touch to get out of the message. But the screen is already not responding so touching the X does nothing. Now the screen is locked on the message. I've pressed the button for 10 seconds but when it restarts, the X message screen comes back.
