Versa sends phone call notifications, and test notification works, but no text notifications.

I have been receiving text notifications on my previous fitbits (surge and blaze) with no problem, but I can not get the text notifications to go through to my new versa.  I am getting phone call notifications, and the test notification works.  I have read the other threads and tried all the suggestions.  And for the record, I have the correct message app selected (like I did on my other fitbits).  Thanks for any help!!

@laurelrn92 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community!  Sorry to hear that you aren't getting notifications on your Fitbit Versa. You can try removing all the devices on your phone's bluetooth list (not only the Versa and not only Fitbit devices but all). Restart your phone that ideally will be compatible to sync and restart your Versa by doing the following:

 

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again. 

 

Now open the Fitbit app to start a sync (make sure the Blaze and Surge are not nearby). Once synced with your Versa enable notifications with only the Versa syncing with your phone.

No, that did not work.  As I believe I mentioned previously, I had already tried that.... but I did try it again.  I also previously mentioned that it is on the the TEXT NOTIFICATIONS that are not working.  I recieve the "TEST" notification when I try that, and I also receive a CALL notification when I have an incoming call.

NOW..... YES!!! I have selected the correct TEXT program in the FITBIT app under notifications.

AND...... I have done this before with 2 other fit bits..... My blaze and my surge.  I was receiving phone and text notifications on both.  It is only on the new VERSA that the TEXT only notifications are not working.

AND..... YES, I am using the SAME phone that I did with the blaze and the surge.

SO..... I don't really think it is a BLUETOOTH issue as much as it is a programing glitch because I receive other notifications to my versa via bluetooth.

Could you provide any other assistance with this problem now, with this new information??

Oh yeah, I would like to add one more thing.  We bought 2 Versas at the same time.  One for me and one for my husband.  He has the same android phone as I do..... The Motorola Droid MAXX.  

AND.....He is having the EXACT same problem.  He receives test and phone notifications on his versa, but he does NOT receive TEXT notifications.  We both use the MESSAGES+ TEXT program.  We both have that selected under notifications in the FITBIT app.  Thanks!

@laurelrn92 thank you for trying the suggestion here and for all the information you shared about your specific issue. The Message+ app is currently a known issue being investigated by our team (other text messaging apps do work without issues). You can keep an eye on this thread for any update that we may have in the future and hopefully this will be resolved soon for everyone affected.
