Versa showing battery icon when it's not charging

My Versa keeps telling me that it charging, even when its been removed from the charger & on my wrist.

A restart should sort that out:

 

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

I cannot get it to shut off.  The battery 0% just flashes.

This did not work for me. It continues to show how much of the battery is charged and does not count steps or heart rate. I have restarted and have had it get a full charge.
