Hi all,
I've had a Fitbit Versa for just under a year now. Has been working perfectly the whole time.
Woke up the other morning, and the screen was blank. I thought the Versa had died, so left it to charge...
A few hours later, the versa won't turn on, and no green light on the back. Tried syncing to my phone with bluetooth, nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled app, nothing. Did the hard reset multiple times, nothing.
Left it to charge overnight, finally, a tiny weak green light appears on the back so I start the syncing and resets again, but nothing.
I've contacted the shop that I purchased this from, but obviously, during Corona-Time they won't be responding to me for some weeks yet I expect...
What else can I try in the mean time to see if the watch will actually work?
Thanks in advance! 🙂

@Lozzypop Rub the contacts with alcohol and put on charger for several hours. Then, you can attempt hard reset using buttons:
You may need to attempt the reset a few times to find the optimal times. Trying holding the buttons longer, as long as it's needed for the vibration to appear.
You can set up the watch back to the Fitbit account by following the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
If you're not successful with the factory reset, I am afraid you will need to reach out to Customer Support to guide you through the next steps. Here's the link to Customer Support page. If you're still under warranty (which seems to be the case), please contact Fitbit directly.

Hi
Same thing happened to me. It was working fine yesterday then suddenly died. I tried all the recommended steps but nothing solved the problem so I got in touch with Fitbit via chat. After going through everything with the advisor she finally agreed to send me a replacement free of charge. I am now waiting for it to arrive. I think it's only the watch part, not the whole thing, but if it works then I'm happy. Maybe give that a try? She was very helpful 🙂

I seem to be having the same of very similar problem with the Versa Lite I've had since October. The screen is blank, but I have a green light on the back. I charged overnight and only have about a 1/4 battery. It seems to be syncing fine with the Android phone app. Just can't get the screen to light up and tell me the same thing.

My watch did the same and so I thought my charger was broken, so I purchased a new one and it worked fine. Then I tried the old charger before I was going to toss it and it worked fine too. My watch has worked fine since.

Going back to this issue. I'm now speaking with Customer Service as the solutions now don't work and the black screen just keeps appearing.
A device that's less than a year old and it's dead. Think my debate over whether or not to switch to Apple just finished!
Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated!

My watch did the same thing. It was a year and a half old. I called customer support and their only solution was to offer 25% off on a new watch. I Googled it and seems to be a pretty common problem. 25% off isn't enough motivation to gamble that it won't happen again. I loved Fitbit and have been with them since the were just dots on a band. Sadly, I'm going to switch to Apple. A watch should last more than a year and a half.

I was just told the same thing in regards to my husband Versa that is 2 years old. All they offered was 25% off and when I bought this it was almost $200. as it was the latest at that time and now battery is already dead. Mine is almost a year older with no issues.

Hi,
I tried restarting, syncing, factory reset and charging. The only sign of “life” that I get is 1 green light flickering on the bottom. My watch began flickering Wednesday, and later that day after my workout I couldn’t end the workout. I woke up in the morning to it still running from the day prior. After multiple times trying to end the workout I was successful. However, once I got to work the screen was self scrolling thru all screens and the screen went completely black 2hours into work. Once I got home I tried charging, syncing, resetting, factory reset and just leaving it alone for a while. Nothing worked! Please help I love my watch and use it everyday!!
