I have been going for hourly walks daily and I noticed that my Versa was showing an average of 800-900 calories burned. I thought that was too high so I wore my Samsung Sport for a handful of walks to get a comparison. The Samsung was consistently reporting in the mid 400 range while the fitbit continued to record in the 800-900 range.
I tend to believe the numbers in the 400 range more for an hour of fairly intensive walking. I am wondering how the calorie values are calculated and how accurate are they on the Versa?

Make sure your personal data is entered correctly on both systems. Calories are based mainly on heart rate and weight, perhaps also age.
Also look at heart rate recorded during walk to see if it looks reasonable.

Confirmed the data on both devices. Are there any good methods for calculating Calories burned that I could use as a third check against both devices?
