Hi,
My fitbit Versa is showing high heart rate even when not on wrist. I've tried restaring fitbit several times, switching heart rate in setting on and off several times, but nothing worked. On closer inspection it looks like there is condensation in one of the sensors.
Could you please advise the best way to fix this issue?

Hi @SunsetRunner , besides water being the cause of it, do you use by any chance a Third Party Clock Face? If yes, chnage it to one developed by Fitbit itself and restart your Versa. Regards kuzibri

Hi @SunsetRunner , many thanks for your suggestion. I was actually using third party clock face. I've changed it to one developed by Fitbit and did a few restarts, however it has not solved the problem. Now my heart rate is almost constant at about 125 beats per minute (regardless of what I do) and the sensors are only showing red light, there is no green light any more.
Any other suggestions on how to fix this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi @SunsetRunner , seems like your Versa suffered from water damage, so I would call Customer Support about this problem. Really hope your Versa is still under warranty. Regards kuzibri

Many thanks @SunsetRunner , I think you are right as my Versa has now completely died. Seems quite unacceptable to have an expensive gadget like this last only for about 10 months even with great care...

I've been having the same issue and finally said "enough." I just ordered a new fitness tracker that should be here tomorrow.
Dear Fitbit, I've been a member of your community for many years. But you can't in good conscience charge your customers $100-$200+ for products that you know are not going to last long. I don't believe condensation is the issue here. I think it's the firmware update based on the number of complaints posted here. And changing the clock face isn't the solution either. . But whatever it is, going back to my very first Fitbit and the way the bands used to bubble up and melt in hot weather, it seems the entire Fitbit experience has been more in lines of what you would expect for a $25-$50 fitness tracker than one that costs a lot more.
I was all set to order another Fitbit device, but out of principal, cannot justify spending $200 again as my Versa is only about !8 months old. I could look at it as a $10/month investment, but why? If a well-reviewed fitness tracker by another brand only costs $50 and I have to replace it after 18 months, I'm still ahead.
