Versa showing incorrect date and time after batter died and recharged

Hi,

I have been impressed with Versa for the past 5 months since i got it until yesterday my battery died completely for the first time in the morning at 7.15 am. After I got home and recharged it, the time appears 7.15 am and continues from there.

I have been trying to fix this for a whole day - restarting versa, restarting phone, unpairing and re-paring them for twenty times or more. Everything else works, but the time just isn't right. Now it still shows the tie of 24 August 2018 when it's already 25 Aug 2018.

Tried contacting customer support via chat, they say the only way to solve is to select the right time one and sync, which i have tried plenty of times.

Anyone with similar issue and successful solutions? please help.

I still have warranty, if this continues would it be possible to get a replacement, anyone knows please?

Thanks

Accepted Solutions

Thank you so much. I finally decided to factory reset and went through all set up steps and it works.

For anyone trying to fix this issue, you may factory reset it. I succeeded after a whole day and more than an hour of live chat with fitbit which didn't help solve it.

Guess I will have to watch out and never let battery runs out ever again. Fitbit really should address this issue.

How annoying! Id suggest you turn the Versa off (settings app amd scroll down to About). Leave it off for an hour or two and sync again. That has helped fix a couple of glitches with mine that restarys weren't  fixing. Let us know how you go

Hi! How do you factory reset it? I’m having the same issue. I tried to turn it off and back on, re sync it... nothing worked. Not sure how to reset it. Help!

In the Settings, it's right above Shutdown. I just turned mine off because it was suffering the same fate. Couldn't have been off for more than a minute, but it corrected itself. Best of luck though

I came across this thread when my Versa 2 was doing the same thing and thought I'd just add what worked for me. Tried changing the clock face (didn't work), changed time zone (didn't work) restarting (didn't work). On a previous occasion I'd done a factory reset but that seemed a bit drastic.

What did work for me was changing the time settings in my phone. I went into the time and date settings on my phone and they were not on a fully automatic option (it did change automatically when the clocks changed but apparently still some manual element there) . When I selected the 'automatic' time and date setting my fitbit immediately synced correctly.
