Versa showing "Data not cleared sync again"

Ok my fitbit had a red and green light and the screen clock was saying null and unidentified on it and from all the research I done it was said to factory reset the fit bit well I tried that and I get a message with a big X in it saying data not cleared sync and try again and i have tried syncing several times and it's not working and I can't get rid of this message on my screen... I got my versa for Christmas so it 3 days, and I'm not impressed ☹
