Versa showing "phone" instead of caller id info since Android Pie update

My Versa syncs fine, but since I updated to Android Pie it doesn't show me the phone number or caller id info from my phone. Instead, it shows the app I use (Should I Answer?) for unknown callers or simply Phone for numbers I have in my phone book. I no longer see the names of callers. What do I need to do to change this so I can see who's calling again???

Since I got my new  Samsung A40 phone I   can't get my caller numbers or name on my fit bit   anymore  it just comes up as unknowing and I don't know who is ringing me ANYMORE

I purchased the versa 2 and it's doing the same thing. All my calls show up as "phone". My text messages are showing my contacts but when I get a phone call it says "phone". I talked to tech support quit a few times and they don't have a solution for me. All I've been told is that they are working on it. Very disappointing since the reason I bought the versa 2 was so I can monitor my calls without my phone when I workout. Seems pointless for me to have a versa 2 when I could have purchased a cheaper health tracker. Doesn't sound like they will know when this problem will be resolved either. I'm wondering if everyone is having the same problem or did I maybe get a defective product? Is this an issue with the app? Seriously debating on returning it and getting an apple watch instead.

Fitbit has turned into complete trash! They use to be good, but could care less about their products and apps now. They have not fixed their notification issues and don't care if they fix it or not. Completely unacceptable considering the price of these devices. I have read in a few other places that they are looking for a buyer. Sounds like they have given up on their own products also. Can't wait to go back to a Samsung product.

if you are able just return it! I still have "phone" showing up for many of my friends. went thru all suggestions all over the internet.  it was going on for me from March 2019, last time I contacted customer service in July, they said they are aware and working on this issue. If it's advertised as smart watch then it supposed to have all these features working properly. Other things work but sometimes glitchy. My cheap watch from Amazon works better than versa. I don't think I will ever buy a Fitbit again.

Yes, I finally decided to return the fitbit and got me a galaxy active 2 instead. It's a little more expensive but at least it works and does all the functions it's suppose. Too bad Fitbit couldn't resolved this. I really liked their Versa 2. Before returning it I tried to factory reset, removing and re-installing the fitbit app on my phone, I tried connecting it to my husband's phone, everything. There was no resolution.

I see that you have moved on from your Versa 2, I struggled with the same issue yesterday and was able to solve for now at least by turning off and on again all app permissions in settings on my Note 8.

I have a Versa 2 in which was working perfectly until a week ago, when I did an update, since then it will not show me who is calling no name nothing but it show the word VIEW, I am unable to press anything to show me the name of the person, unless I look at my galaxy 9S , What can I do to correct this .
