Hi there folks,
While I was replacing my wristband on the Versa I was continually coming into connect with the side buttons,when I had finished there was a prompt on the screen to "unlock with phone" and a red phone and padlock above it. My phone is an iphone 5s and I can't see anything on the Fitbit App to fix the Versa.

I have an iPhone 7 - hope it is the same. Open the Fitbit app on your phone. Click on the Versa icon in the top left corner. Scroll all the way down to Device Lock and click on that. Click on Change Pin BUT USE THE SAME PIN YOU HAD.

I'm having the exact range problems basically rendering my versa useless. Had alot a trouble switching bans this morning, when I finally got it clicked in the red locked message appeared. I've tried a bunch of times to get this unlocked but get getting "error connecting to versa" and will not let me reset the password. Ve done a reset of my versa about 5 times too. Nothing is working.

The exact same thing is happening to me. I've tried just about everything apart from a factory reset. I'm not convinced that would solve it either. Extremely disappointing.
Any solutions?

Never saw this for the first year of ownership now i get it twice a week. Its down to the number of unsuccessful logins ( apparently ) The only way this can be is if every time the log in screen comes up you do not log in, . Considering that this is whenever you tap the face. Unless that is you log in every time you take off your watch !. The how to is here (copy from the fitbit site) :-

If you enter an incorrect PIN code 10 times, you're prompted to unlock your Fitbit device in the Fitbit app.

I can not unlock my versa with my phone. It says on my fit bit Unlock with youre phone.

I keep getting stuck at the configure pin screen. It says checking for PIN when I select change PIN code.

Same here. I get that or it just spins as if it's working then it returns to the device lock screen.

I was finally successful unlocking Versa using my phone! I had to delete the Fitbit app from my phone (Android) and reinstall it. Hope this helps you.

My problem was resolved by removing the app from my android and starting from the beginning with a new installation.

This does not work. Your instructions advise to click Today, Photo, Watch then reset PIN. But watch does not connect from the PIN page so my Fitbit is now useless to me.

After insert the paysafe card without doing anything it locked the watch and i lost the versa 2 icon the application soi can't unlock the watch and it is useless.

Now it says to unlock it from the mobile but unfortunately i can see four digital numper. I did reset again i installed the app nothing now it show wrong time thank you
