@Hippie47, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since the screen doesn't show the clock face but the time only.
Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.

Have you made sure that the always on display isn't on? That sounds like the always on watch face to me.
Swipe down from the top of the screen and the shortcut bar will drop down. Press the 2 lines on the top right and tap the tile with a clock face on it to off.
