So my Versa has not been exposed to water except for sweat... I haven’t done anything weird to it in the 2 months I’ve had it. Yesterday around noon you can see that the heart rate monitor stopped working... and the whole week prior it was giving me really high readings which made no sense to me. Today the sleep thing didn’t work at all. It’s charged, its clean. I went thru all the suggestions I found online and nothing is working... my watch isn’t even flashing the green light. My old Fitbit still works after two years but I gave it to my mom... I’d really like to know how the old one still works but this one dies after 2 months.

There's a bug with the versa at the moment and it looks like you are being affected by it. Keep an eye on the following thread which has updates from fitbit and some things to try:

Mine is doing the same thing. It started yesterday with just a reading of 72 BPM even though I was running. Today I did the restart and hard reset and now it has no reading at all!!! Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I was having the same problem and turned my versa off. Started working again when turned back on.

@Coopaspop if your fitbit is totally dead and you can't turn it on then I think you need to speak to customer support. The warranty runs for 12 months from purchase (or 24 months if you are in Europe) so you will still be covered.
I have flagged your post for the attention of a moderator who will be able to put you in touch with customer support.

@Itscjd @Lkg26 @Coopaspop Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that your Versa isn't recording your heart rate. As @SteveH mentioned this is a bug but usually a restart helps resolved the issue just like @Lkg26 said in their post.
@Itscjd have you tried restarting your Versa? If you haven't please follow these instructions.
@Coopaspop since nothing has worked then please let our Support team know so they can review your Versa's information. I noticed that you already have a ticket with them so I wanted to know if they were able to help you?
Let me know how it goes!
