I've had my Versa for just 3 weeks. When I originally set it up the app automatically tracked my sleep then all of a sudden it stopped. I've tried trouble shooting the issue but still no resolution. I've noticed that the bluetooth will not stay connected even though I don't have any other devices connected. Please advise me on what I need to do.

How tight are you wearing your Versa? Maybe try tightening it a little if it's quite loose.

Hey @LMFLOR, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! As you may already know, heart rate is basic in order to calculate your sleep stages. So as @N8teGee mentioned, please make sure to wear your Versa tight enough so it can record your heart rate. In addition, try to restart your watch by following these instructions.
Let me know how it goes!

About a week ago my Versa also stopped tracking my sleep. It syncs steps, but NOT sleep. I have taken all the suggested steps to correct this. Removed tracker from App, removed App, reinstalled, restarted, and reconnected. It says it has synced (with computer app, and my Android phone, but only the steps and exercise show up, not my sleep. This is so frustrating that I am losing sleep over it! Is this a problem Fitbit is working on, or is it my watch's problem?

@Troon pls take a screenshot of the heartrate recordings for those nights when sleep wasn't recorded.

Here are some screen shots. The previous 5 days do not show at all, although the steps show. Thanks!

@Troon Thank you. It seems like the HR is recorded just fine. I wanted to make sure it was as the sleep won't get recorded if HR can't be detected. Other reason can be trackers low battery. If that's not your case, I would suggest performing a factory reset and setting up everything from scratch. You will need to sync Versa before performing factory reset as it will wipe all data on your tracker. Also, you will need to delete the tracker from your Fitbit mobile app and your phone's Bluetooth settings. After that, reboot your phone and wipe your versa. You can do that by opening Settings on the tracker, scrolling down to About and tapping Factory Reset. Set up Versa as a new device in your Fitbit mobile app.

Did you follow the steps in the message from Fitbit and did they work?

I have got up today and suddenly my Versa is not tracking sleep or HR - two things that are very important to me! I don't really want to do a factory reset as I would like my data from the last 24 hours - but if it's the only thing that will work I will have to. My Versa is only 4 weeks old 😞

@Scousemummy first try regular reboot and toggling Heart Rate OFF and back ON in the Settings app on your Versa. To reboot the tracker press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears. Factory reset is always a last resort.

Thanks. Yes I have tried that. And tried de-bonding the Versa from my phone/app then re-bonding, but no joy.
i will start a new thread with Fitbit, see if they can help. Not impressed.

@Scousemummy Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry to hear that your Vesa isn't recording your sleep nor your heart rate. Also thank you for following @Marrrmaduke suggestions. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. Regarding the heart rate maybe a Factory reset might do the trick. Just be aware that you will need to set it up again.

Then forum messages assume the user is not very bright. I can assure you I did all the usual stuff, and the only thing that worked was a total reset. Don't assume fitbit users are idiots, we know how tight it needs to be. The problem is either the Versa or the Fitbit app, not the user!

So, just throwing this out there, one intelligent Fitbit user to another, but have you tried cleaning the back of the watch? I was having the same problem and then I was like: hmmmmmmm, I wonder.
Wiped off the back of the watch and bingo!
I love moisturizer, what can I say.

I have owned my Fitbit Versa for almost a year. It has worked great. All of a sudden it stopped tracking sleep--on my phone. Can't figure out why
