Versa stopped working after a factory reset

I just read some of the comments about the Fitbit not working after factory reset. I had just chatted with customer support about my home button not working and after they helped me fixed it, I thought maybe to keep from having other issues, I would do a factory reset. Well, that was a terrible mistake because now it won’t power back on. I’ve tried holding the buttons but that doesn’t work. If I had only bought it brand new and not secondhand. Now it’s pretty much a loss.

Hi there, @Tishbite88. Welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Versa. I understand how you must be feeling.

It seems like the Factory Reset might have drained the battery, but also that the battery may not be charging properly. With that said, please try the following steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your watch using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.
