Versa stopped working after first swim

I regularly swim but I’ve never used my Versa in the pool because I was scared incase it broke. After reading a lot online, many people said it was possible and I had a little look at the swim section on the exercise list. At first, it seemed to work OK, I managed to do 21 lengths however then the screen went blank and the Fitbit logo appeared. I took it off straight away! I haven’t been able to turn it back on since. When I got home I put it on charge, the screen flickered a little but nothing else showed. It hasn’t been back on since then. What can I do?

Hi, I did speak to somebody this morning and I have been offered 35% off a new fit bit as it isn’t under warranty. I’m not really happy with the outcome. I understand that the fitbit is no longer in warranty, however if something is advertised as waterproof then it should be waterproof. I would like a watch that works in the water, even if I buy another I’ll be wary to try again because of what has happened. Is the watch waterproof? Should I be able to track my swims?

Also, I can no longer purchase the Versa which was at a cheaper price from your website but I can from other websites.

Hi, thank you for your reply and for sharing your feedback @jessabb

I'm sorry to see that it wasn't possible to obtain a replacement unit, I know it is particularly difficult with the device is not longer covered by the warranty. As you mentioned earlier, the watch is designed to track your swimming activity, so it should be water resistant.

Let me know if you have further questions.
