Welcome to the Fitbit Community @ConnieClark. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Versa stopped working after your swim. I recommend following the troubleshooting steps from this help article including steps to clean your device and restart it: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

Is there another solution. the link you provided does not answer why the product stopped working after swimming. I went for a swim today, with a full battery, and my versa also went blank. It is dry, all connections are in contact, and it will not show a charge.  I have also tried to restart- per the directions on the trouble shooting page- and it will not restart.

I washed dishes with it (as I have done before) and it suddenly stopped working. The screen is black. I gave it time to dry out and then put it on it's charger to see if it would come back. No luck.

Hi,

I have experienced the same issue with my Versa. It got wet and now it won't turn on. I've tried to reset it and charge it. Are you able to assist?

It’s just happened to me too. I’ve swum with it many times but after about an hour from returning from the pool last night, it stopped. No green light, not charging, nothing.

You aren’t actually addressing this issue?? You keep deflecting but clearly your products are poor if multiple people are having the same issues. My has also died suddenly, the second to do this and despite only being 2 years old you have suggested to just buy another. Will not be purchasing a Fitbit as a replacement that’s for sure!

Many of us do not have the issues some post about. Fitbit sold around 11M units last year and around $1.4B in sales. These problems are real for those affected, totally frustrating, and that coupled with the first tier support scripts the Fitbit Moderators are stuck using, can easily lead to anger.

The biggest issues I see repeatedly in the forums can be attributed to poor quality control on software releases, particularly updates, and poor communications from Fitbit. Of course if you look at Garmin or Apple forums, you see similar complaints, just not as many.
