Versa stopped working after swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa stopped working the other day immediately after swimming. Of course it’s a older model and not in warranty. I can’t even get anything to turn on even with a reset. The only thing “working” is the green flashing sensor on the back.

are newer models more trustworthy for swimming?

I tried contacting support but nothing they suggested has worked.

I responded back to the email last night but no follow up. It’s dead black screen but will log my heart rate if I hold it to my wrist.

Are other Fitbit products also leaking with swimming? It has a lap swim feature but I would be hesitant to ever use one of the products in the water ever again.

@cynthiadvm We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Since you've already replied back, I'd suggest to wait until they reach out to you again, due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual. I cannot create a new case for you as it will take longer. Keep in mind that they will definitely continue working with you.

Same thing just happened to my fitbit versalite....I took a swim test and was only in the pool a couple minutes. When I got out the watch was at 0% power but it was at 50% earlier in the day. I never had a water issue before. Now it's a mostly dark screen, I can charge it and it connects to the app but the screen is dark, sometimes it blinks and I can see screen for a second. Left side is darker than the right, and it seems to drain battery to 0 within an hour. Just tried to reset again after it was on the charger, and get no response after holding down the button for 20sec.
