Versa stopped working after swimming

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday I went swimming. It tracked my activity, but when I tried to “stop” the exercise to track it, it got stuck. So I pushed the button on the left to restart it. The watch went dead. Nothing. It was completely charged. It won’t do anything at all. Zero, zilch. I’m upset. I’m reading other posts that many can’t get the Versa 2 to work. Hey Fitbit, what’s going on?

Hi there, @PaigeEllen11. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before reaching out. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

As a first approach, please confirm if you've tried restarting your Versa as described in this help article How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the restart doesn't work, let's move forward with the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

Hope that helps.
