Versa stopped working/ not water resistant

The versa reads water resistant and even has a swimming option as an exercise option. I wore my versa in the river this weekend, it was never emerged as I was on a float the entire time and now it is not working the screen will come up then fade out. I can’t set alarm or choose a work out, those screens won’t even come up anymore, I just get a black screen. Super upset about this. I would have never wore it in the river had I known it wasn’t actually water resistant.

Firstly check it is actually water issue, by looking in the back windows of the watch for condensation using a magnifying glass and if found do not charge it.

If there are no signs of water damage, check charging issues and that it doesn't get hot when charging, another sign of water damage.
