Versa stopping in the middle of exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been using my Versa during my weight and interval training.  It keeps stopping part way through.  I'll look at it to check heart rate, or time and it's back to the main clock face without saving anything to that point.

Really like the Versa for lots of reasons, but this is enough to make me send it back and go back to my Blaze...

I've been experiencing this problem for many months and I've spoken to customer support twice and they seem unable to fix it. They are not willing to replace my Charge 3, and I imagine it is because the problem remains even on even the new ones. This problem seems to exist across their entire product line, as I have found the similar threads regarding the Charge 3, Versa, and Ionic product lines.

Sadly, if tracking your exercise is important to you it seems that we need to find another brand. Consumer Reports likes the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro ($200) and the Garmin Forerunner 35 ($130). They are the 2 highest rated trackers. The Charge 3 is number 3.

I just spoke with them as well. They refuse to do anything even though my Versa is still under warranty. They said that they are trying to fix it. It seems it has been an issue for over a year, and they will not give a timeframe. Fit Bit - this is ridiculous. We bought the Fitbit to track our exercise and it is not working correctly. Support refuses to escalate or so anything to support your customer. I asked if it was an issue with versa 2 and was told no. I was also told that they would absolutely not exchange mine for a 2. Seems like that would be a good fix for all....

I've already posted elsewhere but more appropriate to this thread, mine stopped stopped just before the 1km mark in a marathon a few weeks ago, really frustrating as pretty much ran the next 41 km with no splits, just stuck with the clockface. The Elliptical in the exercise app on my versa is unusable, crashes every single time, earlier this week was the final straw, Versa is relagated to the bottom of my sock drawer. Back to the trustey old Casio until I pick up something more reliable.

Customer service finally replace my fitbit after I asked to speak to a supervisor. Unfortunately, my new fitbit has the same problem. It seems to happen less frequently than my previous one - perhaps once per week instead of 3 or 4 times per week. I'll be adding a new tracker to my holiday wish list soon. Too bad because I really enjoyed their products up until now.

I see a lot of people with the same issue, but has someone found a solution to this? My old Versa did just fine and never had issues. I’ve been using the new Versa 2 since Christmas and it’s done this 3 times! So frustrating and makes me want to leave the gym immediately. 🙄 I don’t want to just switch back to my old watch, but I’m also not going to work my butt off for 45 minutes just for my Fitbit to tell me I haven’t done anything at all!!

I keep an eye on the fitbit. It usually stops in the firs 2 minutes. So, I
pause and restart it. It doesn't usually stop after that. Otherwise, I've
gotten to solution.

After I called them, they walked me through a couple of things and it never has done it again.

What number did you call?

Whatever is on the website under "contact us."  One of the issues was that my OS was not up nor the app itself, on my phone. Then whatever they did on their end fixed it.

I called today and they were not helpful. They wanted me to reset to factory settings. When I asked why, they had no valid reason. I didn't want to lose any data, so I opted not to. Do you remember the sorts of things they walked you through?

They made sure my iOS was up to date, the app was up to date. I “forgot” the watch on the app and the reloaded it. What they did on their end, I’m not sure exactly what. After all that updates, I turned watch on and off and it has been good.

This happens to me as well.  I've learned the hard way to be vigilant & check it constantly but this morning I forgot.  Lost over 5K steps & 300-something calories burned.  I am so frustrated.  Chatted with support & they told me to update my software.  Asked them to look at my data for my daily stats & workouts & add the data for me & they would not.  I won't be able to make up this workout, and I'm so aggravated.

I found them less than helpful too. How do you make sure your software is
updated?

Make sure your OS is the newest version and go into your app store and make sure app is updated.

Since posting, I haven't gotten any workable solution to this problem. I
find that it usually happens within the first two minutes. My work around
is to keep an eye on it and immediately start it up again if it resets. It
usually takes the second time. Good luck. If you find a solution, please
let me know.

Mine seems to have a host of problems. It doesn't come on when turning the wrist, it repeatedly reboots for no reason, etc.
I called the company and they suggested I send it back and they will send a replacement.
