Versa stuck at 0% of charge

2 days ago my grandma gave me her old Fitbit versa because she had upgraded. So I took it and I charged it up to 100 and did a factory reset. Now all that shows is a 0% sign after a couple of hours leaving it off the charger.

I would contact customer support. My wife's would not work no matter what I
tried and still doesn't, it's been months now of me trying different things
every couple days. After the first few weeks I contacted support and they
walked me through different troubleshooting and ended up sending us a
discount code for a new one as hers was out of the warranty period.

I did contact them. No help at all. Kept telling me to wait for an email regarding warranty. Then I received the email saying that its no longer under warranty, which I already know because I mentioned it to the live chat.... and then this

"Furthermore, we offer you an apology for any concern this situation may be causing you. Thanks for being a fitbit customer"

So, is that it? My versa is now useless? No service centers to send the watch to get a looked at? No battery replacements?

It appears that way. I would contact support again and ask to have your
issue escalated to someone higher who may be able to help you.

As far as I know there aren't any repair centres, but seeing as how the
Versa 2 isn't that old of a model, I would complain that they aren't doing
anything to help and you would like to speak to them about it.

I had the same issue, as I posted earlier, I tried all the suggestions, I finally resolved it by using an eraser on the back of the phone on the brass contacts. I then put my watch in the charger and it charged 100%, my watch continues to chg 100%... I hope this helps.

Have had my Versa since May 2019.  Went to bed last night with 30% charge -woke up today to a blank screen.  Hit the reset buttons - got the logo; put watch in charger, now nothing other than a 0% inside a battery.  "Chatted" with support who gave a litany of things to try; all that I tried before chatting.  Nothing works.  Any ideas?  Should the watch work for more than 1.5 years??

Same thing happened to me.  Think they would do a better job sticking behind their faulty, planned obsolescence technology.  Will be out of business soon making an expensive crap product.

I have to second the pencil eraser trick, I am actually blown away that it worked!  The contacts didn't really appear to be all that dirty but it is now charging away after a 15 second eraser rub down.

So glad it worked for you, mine continues to charge strong with no other issues 👍

My Mother in-law had the same problem she has a Fitbit Versa and it was working perfectly but she plugged it into charge and it didn't charge... It keeps showing 0% Battery life and it doesn't increase... We've tried everything from all the button tricks to a reset of the device but still no luck.

Taking a eraser and really rub off the contact points on the back of your watch, then try to charge. It has worked for numerous people… I tried this over a couple years ago and the watch is still working…good luck

Really the pencil eraser trick solved the issue for me.  Surprisingly, but it worked.  It is still working since doing this.  Albeit, the battery life has degraded but it still works and I'm using it.

Give it a shot, "erase" the gold contacts on the back really well.

I am having exact same issue with my versa 3. Says 0% charge and shuts off. Very frustrating.  I have done the things listed throughout and still nothing.  What do I do?!

Have you tried the eraser on the contact points on back of watch? Really put some Elbow grease in it and rub with the eraser. Then try charging…🙂. Good luck
