Versa stuck on a blinking logo screen

Versa will not charge and is stuck on a blinking logo. I have tried all methods of holding buttons, etc. Nothing works. Once I got a screen that just said 0% battery, but now I don't even get that. It seems to be stuck in this blinking logo loop. It seemed to go downhill after the last update several weeks ago. Stopped notifications... then stopped synching... now it is totally stuck in this slowly blinking logo and won't charge or anything. Really frustrating.

It did it to mine too, but I didn't do the Google merge. I think they messed up the system and aren't owning up to it. Sales must be slow...

Hi @BaronBot, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa won't charge and it got stuck on a blinking logo screen. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know if you also tried a factory reset as described below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. After this, set up your watch from scratch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you JuanJo for your reply. Unfortunately I can't get it to respond properly. After dozens of tries following your suggestions, the only thing I can accomplish is to get it to stop the slow logo blinking. But then once I either try to restart it or put it on the charger it just goes back to the slow logo blink. I keep trying but never can get a "vibration" after releasing the bottom right button while holding the other two. As I stated the only response is for the unit to stop the logo blink, but it does not restart. Any other ideas? Or maybe I'm not doing it correctly. After pressing all three buttons, logo disappears, release bottom right button immediately, now... if I hold the other two for up to 2 minutes...nothing (except not it doesn't blink anymore). Do I need to hold longer? 2 minutes holding those buttons seems like an eternity...LOL

I am having the same issue after an update. I have uninstalled the tracker, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried many hard restarts on the tracker itself.  I let it die and then waited overnight for it to fully charge with no change. I cannot afford to buy another one but this one is out of warranty.  The update caused this on june 21st, 2021.

We’re you able to get a fix? I have the versa charge 2 and after a recent update seem to have same issue.

I have been having the issue where the logo is flashing on my Versa 2. It won't sync to the app so it's basically a paperweight at this point. I have tried to hard reset it but it does nothing. I have contact live chat and they were not helpful. I will NEVER buy another fitbit in my life. I have had the worst customer service experience and now it's just a waist of money. I can't send it in because it's out of warranty. This is a bug issue and isn't my fault but yet I'm stuck with a useless piece of junk. Way to go fitbit... going to a galaxy watch instead.

My two versa devices has ended up.being a brick with same symptoms. No service centers to get this repaired.

Pathetic..

Hi, I have chatted with someone. They couldn't fix... and they said...someone will get back to me in one to two days... Still waiting for that someone.

I am having this exact problem, I just purchased my third (and final) Versa2, if it happens again, I'm moving on.  Very frustrating and NO, nothing brings these things back to life other than replacing it.

Same thing happened to me. I updated the firmware on my charge 5 yesterday. The screen went black. I spoke with Fitbit support today and then the screen turned on but is just flashing the Fitbit logo. It will not respond to hard reset attempts. I’m frustrated. Fitbit should take responsibility for these issues.

Mine is doing the same thing.

I tried that and it does not work

Mine was at 85%, took it off to cook dinner. Put it back on and all I have is a blinking logo!

Oh yeah, this conveniently happened after I linked my fitbit and Google accounts together.

I have the same problem. It was working perfectly until Tuesday afternoon, then all I got was the Fitbit logo. I have tried everything and nothing works. It even affected my other Bluetooth devices. It even affected the Bluetooth in my car. I took it my phone provider cause I thought maybe it was my phone. They got it to work. So then I have an old charge 2 so I tried syncing it to my Bluetooth and it paired right up. So I know it is my Versa 3. So the only thing I can think is maybe they did update and screwed up and don't want to admit it!!!!! I see I am not the only one experiencing this problem. Fitbit fix it. If it isn't fixed soon then I will never ever buy a Fitbit again. You are not the only device on the market now. FIX IT!!!!!

My Versa 2 seems to have died last night!  I've had it on the charger all day today and the logo pops up on the back screen and then shuts off. It can't get it to respond to syncing, holding down the button to restart or anything. I really loved this watch. So bummed.
