Versa stuck on message "Data not cleared, Sync & Tried again"

Hi,

I tried to restore the factory settings. However after the action, the watch is showing error message as " Data not erased completely , sync and retry". However since the device is removed from login id, i am not able to sync. I tried switching off and on several times but still the same error messages. when i am trying to sync as new device addition, the connectivity could not be established. kindly help.

Hi there, @rajvishnu. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before reaching out. 

 

That message usually appears when you performed a factory reset without unpairing the Fitbit. Usually you should unpair your Versa, forget Bluetooth and perform the factory reset. To solve this issue, try these steps in the following order:

 

  • Unpair your Versa from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa.

 

If you can't get started with your Versa, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hi,

I tried to disable the Bluetooth connection from my mobile .. I had infact removed the device from my app id. still the same error comes. Now i cannot add back the device and sync the device due to the error.
