The latest app update dropped my device out of my account. I haven't noticed this until now when I wanted to wear my Versa 2 to count my steps. I tried adding my Fitbit to my phone (Android) but my phone doesn't recognize it. I tried it with my laptop as well but the search fails all the time. I spent hours trying literally everything that's been recommended online and nothing helps. After factory reset, my Versa now tells me to download the Fitbit app to get started. I uninstalled the app and then installed it again, still nothing. I repeatedly tap try again, try again, try again, search fails all the time. What's going on with my Fitbit???

Hi there, @E_O. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.
As a first approach, may I know the model of your mobile phone? Please make sure it meets the requirements listed here.
Moving on to the issue, it seems that your Versa 2 is asking you to pair it. So I'd suggest doing the following:
If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
