Versa stuck on "download app to start" nothing after

My Versa is not responding to the 30 plus times I have followed these instructions to factory reset.

All it comes up with is the error message in multiple languages to download the app.

I have left it for over a week to flatten the battery to recharge and try again but no luck.

I shows nothing else on the screen except the logo and the message, no time nothing. 

whats next apart from a hammer and a brick. it was working fine before a factory reset to give to my niece.

fixed download app again and set it up from scratch again.

but of course when you want it to work on a windows 10 laptop it is stuck on the white fitbit logo and totally unresponsive. a piece of crap
