Tried for weeks as well and gave up. 25% off coupon will go unused, have moved on to a different platform.

Have you tried just plugging it in and leaving it plugged in overnight? Don't worry about the buttons until it's been on the charger for 12 hours.

So I went away for a two days and didn't wear my Versa. I charged it 100% then shut it off. Came home turned it on and it had enough juice to tell me 0%. And it had the wrong date and time. Now before the firmware update I could shut it off at night and it would still have the correct date and time and maybe use 1%.
I charged back up Friday afternoon and as of 7:50 EST April 13th it's down to 32%. Not exactly the 4 days as advertised. Someone marked this thread as Answered not sure how. We all seem to have a firmware problem with battery life and we are now being told we are out of warranty? Not a cool move by Fitbit. Clearly this is a firmware problem not a even close to being a user error as support would like us to believe.

It's been on charge for weeks.. Keep trying to restart it.. No success. It was 10 weeks old when it died

Only 10 weeks old they should replace it.

They did on March 30th. 3 weeks later the same thing happened with replacement. Called them, offered same replacement or 50% off a different model. Disgusted..

I’ve never been so disappointed in Fitbit. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2009 and am finally making the switch to Garmin. To read all of these reviews about so many people’s Versa’s dying after the most recent update is incredibly frustrating. I tried all of the restart/reset options, ordered a new charger and charged my versa for 24-48 hours and also spoke to customer support two times, only to be turned away with a 25% discount to replace my Versa. It seems to me that Fitbit only believes in their products for one year as thats when the warranty expires after that they don’t stand by their product. They only had two levels of support and then I was told it was the end of the line of people to speak to. Guess I will move on and just enjoy the awesome functionality of new Garmin watch.

My Versa was 74% charged, but when I went to turn on an exercise, it vibrates a few times, wouldn’t light up and now won’t turn on. I tried charging it again, even though I know it has a charge and I tried the three button trick, to no avail. Any other suggestions I can try?
Thanks

Mine went black screened a few days ago. I can see its still tracking when I log onto the app on my phone. However the screen isn't working just black. I also tried the 3 button thing... still nothing.

I have had the same issue. My Versa started to slow down even after being charged and then all of a sudden just died. I have read so many of these forums and tried all the suggested fixes and nothing happens - the watch is dead. No flashing green lights at the back or any signs of life, even after being left to charge overnight. I have held down every combination of buttons for various amounts of time (from 10 seconds to 30 seconds to 1 minute to over 3 minutes (as some suggested)) and nothing has worked. I would appreciate information about how to get a replacement as my Versa is still within warranty. Thank you.

If it's less than 12 months it's still in warranty so call the 800 number. Make sure you document the day and time of your call. They will make you jump through some hoops by asking you to hold the buttons, try charging it. Do you have the latest update? which of course you can't do because it's dead.
But before you call I would leave it on the charger overnight. After you go through that circus act which they have to do you might get a replacement. If it's more than 12 months old they will very politely tell you Sorry your outta luck. They might offer you the 25% discount for you to buy another one if you are past the 12 months. I would make sure the charger is plugged into a good source and leave it in overnight just to be sure. Could be a bad charger or USB port or connection. If all else fails and you are totally fed up and decide to blow it up could you video that for us?

The same thing happened to me and the 3 minute holding down of all three buttons also doesn't work. Customer service is really slow to respond.. I am considering sending it back but since this happened after an update I am praying that it can still be fixed.

So you got the dreaded update forced upon you. Yes the firmware update that was supposed to make things run better and look cooler does not work. I actually consider it a virus. A few discrete Fitbit employees have said they were supposedly working on a fix but now that Google owns Fitbit the fix has yet to be seen. My theory is they have no intention of fixing it and hope all those with problems will just go away as our warranties have expired. A last this has become a hobby now and for my money I will not go quietly into that good night.

IF YOU HAVE WARRANTY TAKE IT BACK TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT THEY WILL REDUND YOU. If you didn’t keep your receipt and have not proof of purchase there is nothing you can do. I’m using a Versa 2 and so far no issues it’s the Versa 1 that seems to have this problem. I won’t be buying another Fitbit once this dies though I’ll be going to an Apple Watch or Garmin.

wow - I was shopping apple watches when I decided to research more and saw your solution. I'm getting tired of having my fitbits die. I baby these things and haven't had nearly the issues with any other electronic device, but I think, if I'm not mistaken, I've gone through 6 fitbits in 4 years.....anyway, the holding of the buttons worked. thanks.
