Just got through with chat support. Versa special edition too.  No issues whatsoever since purchase back in November 2018.  According to chat, the device is still paired with my Iphone but this thing has zero sign of life.  I'm more than a hop, skip and jump outside the warranty.  It's just frustrating that it only lasted 1.5 years without issue and then it is suddenly kaput.  I too was offered a 25% discount for the purchase of a new one but I just don't think it's going to happen.  I think I'll just have to purchase an Apple watch after all.

Agreed.  I was very pleased with my Versa as I'd had no issues at all.  The problem is pervasive and it's perfectly clear that Fitbit is not planning on doing anything to rectify.  I know I'm just one person but because of this single situation, I can't imagine I'll be continuing business with them.

It is extremely disappointing as an original Pebble owner As I have noted previously, I have decided to move on. I will still enjoy wearing my original Pebble, Pebble Steel, and Pebble 2 which all still work and live on thanks to Rebble.

Thank you for the advice. My Versa was drained and would not take a charge. The three button reset worked great despite a drained battery. My Versa is now charging

I just talked to a rep about the same issue. He told me this is an "isolated incident" glad to see I'm not alone. With try the reset AGAIN!

It's not an isolated incident sorry to say.  You are amongst many with the same problem.  Read back through the threads and you will see

I’m so disappointed with Fitbit. My Versa quit receiving text notifications after the Fall 2019 update and NO workaround has ever corrected it with mine. (My friend who also has a Versa with an iPhone never got hers rectified either; our friend with an Android had hers come back with a reset.)
Now my Versa has gone completely dead and no suggestions are working for me with this issue either!  I always said I’d never get an Apple Watch because I didn’t want all of the extra features, but I think for $50 more, I’d rather have a watch that doesn’t die on me and syncs with my phone😒

Read you comment from yesterday and wanted to let you know I just reset my Versa using a 2-button reset (not 3-button). Wanted to suggest this to you before you give up on you beloved Versa. Hold the left (or "back" button) and the bottom-right button simultaneously until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen. I held both for 10 seconds before the logo appeared. This worked for me and my watch is now charging. Good luck with it!

After doing the firmware update (to 32.70.8.0), my versa 2 battery life drains within 8 hours or less. It seems to be draining faster and faster and now after being at 100% last night at 8pm, it last synced at 12:54am and is so dead it will not respond at all.    I've tried the three button test. The two button test. A different USB charger. Nothing. Completely black screen. It is 13 months old.      VERY DISAPPOINTED. This just sucks! Obviously it's not an isolated incident.

It does suck! For what it's worth, I was on Amazon, ready to click But It Now on a new device, but decided to check this community. After I did the 2-button reset and my Versa "came back to life", the battery had just 1% remaining. I fully charged it overnight, synced it with my app, and it's had noticeably longer battery life since before the issue. Maybe that's a result of the update ... I don't know. I did the software/firmware update middle of last week, so I agree the shut-down does seem to be related to it.

My suggestion is to let the battery run all the way down, try the 2-button reset again (hopefully, it works), and let it charge overnight. I really hope this works for you!

Hello woke up this morning to find my 1-2 Fit Bit Versa watch had not charged overnight after screen went dead. Tried cleaning points, then hit 3 buttons for 3 minutes and didnt work.

Have gone into my app and it shows as 100% charged.

Any ideas people?

Thanks in anticipation of some further suggestions as it seems to soon to be looking at a replacement

Mine has done the exact same. Has it almost two years. For the price I’d expect it to last sooner. I’m a bigger fitbit supporter but now I’m very disappointed. I’ve tried holding all three buttons nothing works. Charged it so it’s 80% + no screen wake. It started yesterday with the info randomly scrolling through and vibrating without being touched. Now it’s just blank screen it lights up kind of not very bright but no data / watch face. @@Fitbit please advise. I can’t justify a new watch. 😢

I gave up and bought a Samsung watch. The fitbits don't seem to last more than a couple of years, mine less than that

SYSTEM UPDATE KILLED MY FITBIT!  I have older Fitbits and this one is almost 2 years old and now it's dead.  After the update the heart rate quit working and now it's dead.

My old Blaze and One still work but the Versa died after very recent update.  I'm looking to buy a different brand as well.

My Fitbit Versa was working perfectly until June. It seems like something suddenly shifted and all of a sudden my Versa was draining battery quickly and would die before I'd even get a notification saying the battery was low.

The three button reset worked for a couple weeks but not it won't respond no matter what I do and the versa just gets hot sitting on the charger.

I called customer support but all they offered me was a 25% discount and told me this was an isolated incident. I've only had the Versa since April 2019. $225 is way too much money to be spending on a device that dies after about a year. Especially when I've taken care of the Versa, it has a cover on it and I never use it near water.

Suggestions for a new watch? I don't want another Fitbit as it seems from the comments that they have a very short life.
