I’ve had my Versa for several months and it’s been working fine, but for the past two nights it hasn’t been tracking sleep at all. It’s still detecting my heart rate and syncing with other data like steps and heart rate. I’ve reset it, updated the ap from my phone, and checked to ensure the HR is set to “on.” None have fixed the issue. Is there anything else I can do? Should I try a factory reset? Thanks!

Hi. I find that this only works once. Then i have to redo it every single time i wake up. Is there any way to make this work like it should every time?

I did this factory reset. Now it won’t turn back on. This is the second time you all have given this advice and it’s killed my Fitbit.

I bought my Versa in August 2018. Since then it has NEVER, NOT ONCE, tracked my sleep correctly. Every day shows anywhere from 15 minutes of sleep to 3.5 hours of sleep. I delete the log then Save it which recreates the log. I have tried everything: Turning the Versa off, shutting it down, deleting and downloading the Fitbit app.
I have tried tightening and loosening the Versa on my wrist. What else should I try?
Yes, I have tried the Restart.

The only thing you can do is return it and buy a better watch..
With this many people experiencing the EXACT same bug, and for the moderator of this chat to label it as "solved" is just wrong.
I've returned mine. Really too bad..
"Chatting" didn't solve anything.
Returning it and buying a better watch worked great.

Mine has been giving me a simplified sleep for three weeks I’ve been on the phone with them twice they don’t seem to be able to fix it. Their answer was buy a new Fitbit. Why would I buy an expensive watch that only works for two years

None of these have helped mine. No HR showing on Fitbit. No sleep showing in Fitbit. I have turned HR off and back on, restarted Fitbit 4 times. Other suggestions now?

Have you tried a factory reset? Mine is working again. Good luck.

Thank you for your post, I did have the same problem myself on my Fitbit Versa 2, of it not tracking sleep properly. I also found the Fitbit Versa 2 being 2 hours late in saying when my sleep started, compared with my other activity tracker which was always accurate.
I was able to resolve the problem by rebooting the Fitbit Versa 2 with the following set of actions:
Settings > About > Shutdown > Prompted "Shutdown - Do you want to shutdown?" > Press "Yes" button.
When Fitbit Versa 2 shutdown completes > Press physical button on left-hand side for about 10 seconds > Watch restarts with "Fitbit" logo.
There are some very good diagnostic apps there on the "Fitbit Store", downloadable by the Fitbit apps such as "SimpleCheck" which will do a very simple set of diagnostics on, and "Fitbox" which will display your sensors.
Hope this helps!

There certainly wasn’t an answer with all these automated responses. I’ve done everything to try to resolve this issue and I’m still not seeing it recording my sleep stages. I don’t like having to log it myself, because it’s not recording critical information that I bought this watch to do! Give a real answer! One that resolves this problem for everyone.

I'm having the same problem since May 10th I think, it logged sleep but not in detail, then after the update on the 12th, completely stopped tracking. Did you get yours fixed? I've tried so many things!!! Frustrating...

Mine has gone on the fritz again… This is so frustrating. I pay for premium so I can see my detailed sleep. For the last three weeks I have gotten a SleepScore maybe one day a week

I don't understand your instructions? I need something more detailed? Where are the settings app? On my laptop or on my phone? I looked at settings and couldn't go past that? My sleep is definitely not being recorded properly on my Versa 2...??! Help!!
