Versa suddenly not tracking sleep

I’ve had my Versa for several months and it’s been working fine, but for the past two nights it hasn’t been tracking sleep at all. It’s still detecting my heart rate and syncing with other data like steps and heart rate. I’ve reset it, updated the ap from my phone, and checked to ensure the HR is set to “on.” None have fixed the issue. Is there anything else I can do? Should I try a factory reset? Thanks!

Hello @Areti thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.

Please note that many Android phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S10+ have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but are currently not on our list of supported devicesThis means that we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet. For the time being, we don't have an specific date or time-frame of when is going they will be listed as compatible.

While these devices has all the specifications to be compatible and are currently working with the Fitbit app, it's possible to come across some issues along the way. I appreciate your understanding while we work to improve this experience. In the meantime, please let us know what kind of issues are you experiencing with your Versa so we can assist you further.

Have a great day.

Is there anyway to rectify the versa not tracking sleep? I’ve restarted my watch still not working???  Only had it three months can I send it back???

Best Answer

Just upgraded to the versa less than a week ago. First it was saying I was napping when I wasn’t. Then it said I was asleep most of the day. Now it’s not registering sleep at all. I just shut the heart rate off, synced, turned it back on, synced, shut of all day sync, synced, turned it back on, synced. So.... I don’t know. We will see but one thing I use this for a lot is sleep so if it can’t function correctly I’m returning it.

Tried all suggestions but still not tracking sleep?

I feel like it's always something and it's just tiring and frustrating. I think it may be time to move to a completely different brand. I've had fitbits for years but I should NOT have to constantly troubleshoot for one issue or another on different models. That doesn't speak well for the brand. I'm just worn down with it.

My sleep tracking stopped today.  I have done everything suggested.  It has worked fine up until today.  What's up?

My versa has also stopped tracking sleep even though HR is still being tracked while I’m asleep

I’ve restarted my versa multiple times but it is still not working. It is now day 3...

I love my Fitbit Versa WHEN IT'S WORKING!!! I'm also VERY TIRED OF HAVING TO RESET IT because SOMETHING is NOT WORKING!!!!!!!! My Fitbit Versa stopped tracking my sleep 2 nights ago. Today I can hardly see the display. I went into settings and can see that it's set to DIM but can't change that setting.

I've done the factory reset thing and am now going to try getting it to work AGAIN!!!

They said all they could do is send me 20% coupon for a new purchase. What???!! So frustrated I just want a product that works!

I have my Versa2 synched to my Android Pixel. I've had it a week and it stopped tracking my sleep. Went through the procedures outlined in the "best answer". We will see tonight if this helps.

I turned on and off the heart rate tracker and restarted the watch and it seems to work. I have had to do this several times at various occasions. Not ideal, but it does work.

I did what you suggested and it did not work. Now my Versa is completely dead and not linked to my phone.  I’ve only had this since October...super disappointing.

Mine died completely and after ""chatting" with a Fitbit rep and trying
everything he suggested they sent me a new Versa 2. Good luck with yours!
