Versa suddenly stopped working, won't turn on

My Fitbit versa suddenly stopped working and now doesn't turn on at all. It had 97% battery level on August 18th (last time it was synced), there are no lights at the back of the device. I tried contacting support and exhausted all the trouble shooting steps (see below) without any success.

It was bought in May 2018 and just after using it for about 15 months its dead.

This quality issue is a major concern for me, my point is that its not worth spending so much money on such unreliable product and where troubleshooting/repairing is so basic and minimal. Otherwise I was very happy with it, its features, battery life etc.

Has anyone else have experienced something like this ?

  • Clean the Versa's charging contacts carefully with hand sanitizer and a tissue or a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Dry your watch thoroughly, then charge it again. (If the cotton swab is unable to remove debris, you can also use a toothbrush or toothpick.)
  • Change the USB port where the charging cable is plugged into. Please don't use USB hubs or extenders.
  • Check the charging contacts to make sure that it is aligned correctly.
  • If you haven't done so, restart the device.Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Let go of the buttons.
  • Leave it charging for at least 30 minutes.

@Sharmas welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry about the charging and display issues that your Versa experienced. I'm also sorry to hear that it's no longer under the warranty period. The warranty period is good for 365 days, starting from the date of first setup.

I totally understand how frustrating this is for you and I appreciate your feedback and comments since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.
